Peavey Decade Too Amplifier, Extension Cabinet and Preamp Pedal

Peavey Decade Too Amplifier, Extension Cabinet and Preamp Pedal

In a now-iconic YouTube video, Josh Homme, the Grammy Award® winning frontman of Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal, unveiled the secret behind his signature guitar and bass tones: the Peavey Decade™ combo amp. A secret no more, Peavey’s revamped Decade™ Too brings Josh Homme’s sound to life once again, making it an essential tool for every guitarist aiming to shape their unique tone. The Decade™ Too combo amp is released alongside an extension cabinet and preamp pedal.

The Peavey Decade™ Too captures Josh Homme’s signature tone with its SATURATION switch for tube-like sustain and rich overdrive. Weighing just 5.45kg (12 lbs.) and pushing 10 watts of solid-state power, this compact amp delivers impressive volume and versatility. A 3-band EQ, plus exclusive BASS and TOP boost switches lets you craft your own signature sound.

Up front, guitar players will find a single input preamp using the original Decade™ circuitry with some new enhancements. The GAIN section features PRE and POST controls. PRE-GAIN sets the gain of the input circuitry. POST-GAIN sets the gain before the power amplifier.

Accompanying the Decade™ Too 10w Guitar Amp Combo is the Decade™ Too Extension Cabinet and the Decade™ Preamp Pedal.

The Peavey Decade™ Too Extension Cabinet features an 8” speaker housed in a chrome stand for maximum versatility and portability. Its tilt-swivel design enhances directional clarity and monitoring, meaning it can stand alone for optimal sound distribution or be stacked to create a striking wall of tone. Combine with Decade™ Too combo for extreme feedback experimentation in conjunction with the PHASE switch.

The Peavey Decade™ Preamp Pedal faithfully recreates the original 1980 circuit, delivering classic tone in a compact form. It features a switchable Saturation channel for added depth, an internal 24V supply powered by a standard 9V input, and a hard bypass switch with an anti-click circuit. With Pre and Post Gain controls, a three-band EQ, and independent testing for worldwide EMC and FCC compliance, this pedal offers both versatility and reliability.

These products will be available from May 2025
